Meet Tara, Account Representative

Tara sharing the latest product updates at the campusgroups exhibit hall booth at educause 2019 in chicago

Hi Tara! Can you introduce yourself?

I am a Buffalo, New York native.  I have two daughters. I enjoy all things performance art, especially stand-up comedy.

When did you join the team?

I joined the team in August 2019.

What was your biggest challenge when you joined the team?

My biggest challenge is learning the platform because it is so robust and has so many functionalities. Being able to work and communicate directly with our wonderful developers has helped me to expand my knowledge of the features in a very short amount of time.

What is your role at CampusGroups?

My role is Account Representative. I work with both the Support Team, investigating and responding quickly to inquiries and issues from CampusGroups Users, and I also work with the Sales Team by creating and executing contracts, following up with sales leads, as well as acting as a liaison between clients/potential clients and our Vice President. My mission is to create the smoothest transition into CampusGroups for our clients as possible.

What do you like most about your role?

I enjoy the reactions schools have when we tell them about all of the functionalities within our platform. Their excitement makes me very proud of what our product offers.

How would you describe CampusGroups in three words?

Engaging. Robust. Community.

If you had good advice to give to a new student at one of our universities, what would it be?

I would say to get as involved as possible, in any groups or campus activities, because experiences and networking are what best prepare you for a successful career in the future.

Where can we usually find you during weekends? What are your hobbies, what do you like to do outside of work?

I usually spend my weekends getting in some much-needed quality time with my daughters. In my free time I like to write and perform stand-up comedy. I also like to bartend and create new fun cocktails.
