February 2021: Latest Updates to CampusGroups

Greetings!

This month, we have been busy implementing new features and helpful improvements for the CampusGroups community. We are also continuing to develop reports and marketing resources to provide you with supportive tools and assets. Thank you for sharing your feedback on what is important and helpful for your campus!

As a reminder, CampusGroups Rendez-Vous, our first User Community conference, is around the corner on Friday, March 12th. We hope youโ€™ll join us for an exciting day of discussions, learning and networking opportunities. We canโ€™t wait to connect!

Last week we were thrilled to showcase three of our campus partners on their recommendations for hosting Virtual Fairs, including marketing and advertising your event, increasing student engagement, lessons learned, and more. We invite you to check out this Campus Spotlight Panel Discussion to hear great ideas & insights from members of the CampusGroups User Community:

As always, please know that we're here to support and help you and your school to build and maintain a strong community.

Join us at Rendez-Vous!

We're thrilled to invite you to join us on Friday, March 12th, for our first User Community Conference: CampusGroups Rendez-Vous, an exciting one-day virtual event filled with discussions, interactive learning and networking opportunities.

Don't miss out on all of the discoverynew connections and inspiration that awaits!

Tailor Your Home Page with Pages

The Home Page Customization module includes the new Pages feature, allowing for greater options and flexibility in creating a more tailored home page experience. Add and/or move additional rows of content and take advantage of specialized widgets (coming soon!)

The original Home Page layout, which was activated for all campuses at the start of the pandemic to be able to better share announcements, with the static set content boxes, has been made standard for all campuses without the advanced module.

Video Conferencing Enhancements

We are continuously working to improve our features to make processes easier for our campuses, and with your helpful feedback, we are able to build and enhance your student engagement tools to do exactly what you need. In the past year, video conferencing has become a top priority for our campus partners, and accordingly, a top focus for us.

Check out some of our latest updates:

  • Zoom links are now included in calendar entries and event RSVP notifications.

  • You can now include a video conferencing link when you create On-Campus or Off-Campus events, allowing you to specify both a physical location and a video conferencing link, so that you can accommodate both Roomies & Zoomies at your event!

Resume Book

Instances using the Career Center module or hosting a Virtual Career Fair can generate a Resume Book of all Members or Attendees. Recruiters are able to also generate a limited Resume Book file of all Career Fair booth visitors.

New, Flexible User Permissions

Different schools have different needs - and your engagement platform should be as unique as your campus. One way we strive to support our campus partners is to provide the flexibility to customize your platform and mobile apps to tailor the student experience for your schoolโ€™s goals and culture - and that includes your administrative processes.

Whatโ€™s new?

You can access new permission configurations for unverified users to allow them to:

  • View stores and buy products

  • Register to events

  • Submit survey and form answers

  • Post on marketplace

  • Post jobs and create companies

  • Attend virtual fairs

  • View events list and calendar

New Meetings API

This month, we are introducing new Meetings API endpoint that lets you retrieve meetings booked through Connection Programs and the meeting scheduler module.

In Connection Programs, you can now change the owner of the program under program settings. Youโ€™re able to send a notification to hosts alerting them to create their availability timeslots. You can also now enter & save a note in the Post Meeting Information screen regarding a participant who is not a member or a contact of the group in which the program has been created.

In Events, we have improved the loading time of the Events Dashboard, enhanced the overall readability of graphs by increasing the size and made the counters more accurate based on timeframe selected.

Service Hours created under an external organization are now included in the 'Service Hours' listing of the Admin section.

In Virtual Fairs, booths with no zones assigned are now hidden from the "List of Groups" page of a Fair and can be visually identified under the Manage section.

Custom Fields are now listed under the preview step of the Upload Users feature.

Admin-only category tags are now hidden from a group's settings.

API: the "Goals" field has been added to the rss_groups feed.

Searching members is now easier, as we've improved the Paste List function! Under Members, you can easily access contacts or validated members while filtering out non-validated members from your search results.

Group constitution has been added to the report that can be generated from the Admin > Groups page.

A new setting in the Group Re-Registration Approval Process allows new officers to be added to a group via a group re-registration process only.
