December 2020: Latest Updates to CampusGroups

We know that many schools are making plans for the upcoming semester that include both online, in-person and blended learning models. As it is our mission at CampusGroups to help all of our campus partners keep their students engaged (even remotely), we would like to share some of our latest updates to help communicate and engage with your community members: Accessibility improvements, Virtual Fairs, Connection Programs, Meetings Scheduling and more!

Virtual Involvement Fairs
In just 3 months, we held over 200 Virtual Fairs for schools, colleges and universities! Student organizations, university resources, and community partners have hosted 86,000 booths and received 750,000 visits from students.
Thank you to all our campus partners for such great enthusiasm in welcoming this new module! It's been really exciting to see all of the incredibly fun, creative & colorful custom fair maps that schools have created for their Virtual Involvement Fairs -- CONGRATS on so many successful fairs!

CampusGroups Connection Programs helps students to easily connect with and schedule meetings with advisors, mentors, tutors, alumni, ambassadors and more.
Meeting Scheduler Enhancements
Booking meetings is a critical and frequent task, but coordinating the best time to meet can take a lot of time. CampusGroups Meeting Scheduler tool was created to simplify this task and make it efficient and easy for your campus community to connect with each other.
With your helpful feedback, we are continuously improving this feature!
What's new:
In your Meeting Scheduler settings, you can now add a meeting feedback survey. This is a great way to gather data from a meeting host about a student with a dedicated survey made just for this purpose, and then compile it into a report. After a meeting, when a participant opens the post-meeting info page (via a notification or from the meetings listings), they will be sent directly to the survey to submit an answer.
Additionally, the My Meetings page will now be displayed under the My Events link on the homepage and will show a counter of your upcoming meetings.
Accessibility Updates
CampusGroups has made significant improvements related to user accessibility in 2020! Our focus for these improvements has been a combination of community & user feedback and student usage (high frequency pages).
What's new:
Weโve made a number of improvements related to keyboard navigation and screen reader support for JAWS, NVDA and VoiceOver.
ALT attributes for images have been added or updated for better context.
Heading structures (H1, H2, etc.) have been improved on many pages.
Listing page filter bars and filter bar controls have been improved.
Various other controls have been improved, including:
Group cards (Featured Groups, My Groups, Suggested Groups)
Global PIN controls (thumbtack buttons to add/remove from favorites or pin/unpin items)
Top navigation controls (section buttons and dropdowns)
Website Slideshow and Event Carousel/Slideshows
Improved focus highlighting and screen reader context
Connection Programs
CampusGroups Connection Programs allow students to easily make appointments to meet with their orientation leaders, academic advisors, tutors, mentors and others on campus. We make it simple to search a 'marketplace' of resources to connect to just the right person - and book a meeting with ease!
What's new:
You are now able to archive and filter by archived programs; and
Import availabilities to multiple hosts from another host in your program by:
Selecting the hosts to whom you would like to import availabilities and click Import Availabilities in the listing buttons to select which host's availabilities to apply
Adding a host to your program or creating a new Meeting Scheduler to automatically create default availabilities for the calendar
Virtual Fairs Latest Updates
CampusGroups Virtual Fairs boost student engagement by empowering students to discover groups and opportunities to get involved, even remotely. With CampusGroups, Virtual Fairs are flexible and customizable to meet the unique needs of your campus community -- and adaptable for many different types of fairs -- Student Involvement, Career, Resource, Volunteer, Greek Life, Study Abroad & more!
What's new:
Under the 'My Booth Visitors' menu, Officers can now download a report of all participants who either visited their booth or expressed interest in their booth
To help connect students with professional opportunities, you can now create Virtual Career Fairs with the Virtual Fair module
You can now create a Connection Program for your Virtual Career Fair booth under the Meeting Scheduling section in Booth Settings
Administrators can now download a report of each booth visited by participants
You can duplicate a fair, including ALL of the booths of the fair
Customize Officer Notifications
We believe that your platform should be as unique as your campus community, and CampusGroups Workflows allow you to truly personalize your communications and processes. You can now customize the automatic notification sent to officers when a workflow step is approved.
Email titles and body can also be customized, and the 'View Workflow' button can be either shown or hidden. It's up to you!
Member Dashboard
We're making it even easier to see engagement levels for members and groups!
Administrators can see earned Points displayed when looking at group members. For more quick access to your engagement data, all Badges and Checklists across all groups can also be seen by administrators from within any group of the platform.
Officers and Administrators can now generate a report of their group Forum posts.
You can now filter group members using the user and member custom field dropdowns.
Duplicating a group will now also duplicate the associated member custom fields.
A new "State" filter has been added to the Directory.
Officers can now receive notifications when members are promoted to the main list of an event.
