The CampusGroups User Group Has Launched!

At CampusGroups, we’re lucky to be able to speak with talented campus engagement leaders on a daily basis. Whether we’re chatting with forward-thinking graduate students about the future of virtual reality, collaborating with Student Affairs professionals on innovative new features, or shaking hands with educators at a national conference, we’re always inspired by the conversations we have with our most active and passionate users.

That's why we decided to start the CampusGroups User Group: to bring together the best minds in campus engagement, spark connections between them, and share strategies to help all of us get better at what we do.

We held our first meeting last week, joined by representatives from MIT Sloan School of Management, Northwestern University Kellogg School of Management, CMU Tepper School of Business, Rochester Institute of Technology, NYU Stern School of Business, and more.

For our first conversation, we chose a topic that's central to student engagement at every campus: Events

Every member of the User Group contributed stories, questions, and advice to help with each stage of the event-planning process. We went in-depth on a variety of topics, including:

  • How to use the Lottery feature to clear your event's waitlist

  • Why attendance tracking is essential to maximize engagement

  • How the Multi-Event tool allows for simultaneous activities organized by time slots

  • What to do to ensure your RSVPs actually attend your events

  • How to use email targeting to improve attendance over time

And much more!

Our next User Group meeting is scheduled for Thursday, May 24 and we'll be focusing on another topic at the core of every school's engagement experience: The CampusGroups Mobile App
