Updates of the week (Feb 17th)

Here are the new improvements and few bug fixes for this week (all these changes will be pushed to all servers next Friday).

Improvements & new features:

  • Photos: When you view your photos, it is now possible to navigate from one to another just by sliding the scrollbar and clicking on the preview photos of the bottom menu.
  • My inbox: The Emails display has changed. The blue background now takes all the space and turns to white when the email has been opened.
  • My inbox: You can now delete an email from your mailbox, just by clicking on the cross on the top right of the email.
  • Support: In order to avoid any confusion, we have taken the additional "Email us" link from the Contact Us section of our Support Center.

  • Bug fixes:

    • Control Panel: When you download the events via the "All events" link, all events between the 2 dates selected are now in the excel file. We deleted the "Number of attendees" column in the excel file because it was not used.
    • Photos: When you view the untagged photos in the Photos Album space, you now see just the untagged photos not every photos (tagged and untagged) from your account.
    • Emails: In the "Check live email delivery status" page, we deleted some test information which had been left there by mistake.

Thanks and have a great week end!!!

Updates of the week (Feb 10th)

Here are the latest improvements and few bug fixes for this week (all these changes will be pushed to all servers next Friday).

    Improvements:

    • Calendar: The month selector used to only list 12 months, it is now listing 24 months. If you click on the last month in the list, the followgin 12 months will be displayed.

    Bug fixes:

    • Email: When you click on the "Delete" link of an attachment, it will only delete the attachment connected to this link, not all the attachments.

    • Members: Expanding and collapsing account types used to be stuck when the type would include special characters.  We fixed this, you can now display or hide them all.
  • Email: Just after adding an attachment, you are not redirected to another page anymore. You remain on the compose email page.
  • Members: There are no more display problem (overlapping, formating) for long account types.
  • Thanks and have a great weekend!!!

CampusGroups will soon be in your pocket!

We are very excited to announce that we have started working on a newer version of our CampusGroups mobile application. The second good news is that the application will be multiplatform and available on iPhone, Android and Blackberry phones.

It will allow you to access the main features of the CampusGroups platform such as your school feed, events, groups, inbox and your profile…

Here are a few mockups showing what the new app will do. We are still working on the main navigation.

Please feel free to send us your feedback and suggestions!

Customer Support - Success Stories (Jan 23rd)

We love to hear great feedback when we do our best to support our users.  Here are a few emails which made us smile over the past few days.

As we were making changes to a custom Assessment Tool for the Office of Career Development at NYU Stern School of Business: "Wow! You are amazing! Thank you so much! We look forward to reviewing the changes." - Allison, and "That is great!  Thanks." - Tammy

"All sorted out now – Thanks for the quick response everyone!" - Aditi from University of Michigan Ross School of Business

As we found out that a school administrator at Fuqua did not have the right account type and could not access private posts on a discussion board: "Thank you for your quick reply.  It does look like that fixed the discussion board issue. Many thanks! " - Ruth from Duke University Fuqua School of Business

As we helped out with the layout of a club Website (https://cua.campusgroups.com/centerstage/about/).  "Thanks so much, it looks fantastic! " - Britt from The Catholic University of America

    Thanks for your feedback!

Updates of the week (Jan 20th)

Here are the lastest improvements for this week (all these changes will be pushed to all servers by Friday Jan 27th):

    • Events: We added a "Create Event" button straight on the calendar to allow officers to create events in just 2 clicks instead of 4.  Also, the calendar now has 2 views: the Month view and the Agenda view (list of events).

    • Emails: You can now open an email by clicking anywhere on the email line not just on the email title.
    • Navigation: Click on Groups in the top menu will allow you to see all your groups, not all the groups at school.
    • Events: Quick description is not a mandatory field anymore and will contain the name of the event if left empty.
    • Website: You can now customize the URL of any given page (not just the name and browser title).

    • Navigation: When switch into another group you are an officer of, you will land to the same page you were on (ex: Edit Website page).
    • School Admin: As a school administrator, you can now see an event registration page, even if it has not been approved yet.
    • Events: To accelerate the loading of Upcoming Events, the list of event topics will be displayed in read-only mode (without the dropdown to edit them).
    • RSS feed: Event names will not include the group acronym anymore.

Thanks and have a wonderful week end!
